Family: Was first married to Audrey Gordon, whom he married in 1945 and who died in 1988. They had two sons, Kenneth Gordon of Narvon, Lancaster County, and Lee Gordon of Elm City, N.C. In 2001 he married Ruth Gordon.
Interesting accomplishment: A World War II veteran who was held in German POW camps for almost three years, he inspired his family through his faith and positive attitude.
